I don't know if you've ever had seizures. But I did. I did when I was a kid growing up. I had seizures and then seizures and you can't control it.
You're talking or watching TV, and then all of a sudden your body just starts convulsing.
So my mom took me to the hospital and they gave me a drug called phenobarbital, It was supposed to help me control the seizures and I was taking them because my mom would have beat me if I didn't.
So I was taking them, but I could tell it was a hardship on my mother in South Central Los Angeles. So I'm a 7th grader having, having seizures regularly.
But when I saw it was a hardship on my mom, I went to God, my Dad, and I said, "hey, Dad, my mom can't keep doing this. I know you're the healer. So, since you're a healer and you're my father, I'm expecting you to heal me. If you can't heal me, it's because you're a former healer and that's ok if you can't heal me. But I don't think you're a former healer. I think you're a healer. Thank you father."
So I got up, I took the phenobarbital and I flushed it down the toilet. I took the cap that was in and placed it at the bottom of the trash can because if she saw it there's going to be trouble.
So she said to me about a month later, "Gordon, how are you doing with your medicine?"
I said, "oh, I'm good mom."
Two months later, "how are you doing with that medicine?"
"I'm good mom."
About three months later she says, "what did you do?"
And I said, "mama, I can't take phenobarbital for the rest of my life and it's too expensive and it's hard on you. So I flush that drugs down the toilet three months ago."
I've never had a seizure in my life since then. And I am a guy that played eight years of professional football.
I'm just saying that the God that we serve is anxious to serve you because part of his character is serving, part of his nature is serving.
I don't know what your issue is that you're, you're struggling with over and over again, but it's time for it to come to an end! So that God can show himself as he truly is.
He is the great God. Unbelievable God. Extraordinary God. Tthe majestic one.
